Nuno Gomes, former Benfica player and former international with the Portuguese national team, spoke to 'AS' about Francisco Trincao, a Barça player currently with Sporting Braga. He predicted a successful career and said he reminds him of Neymar.
In Portugal, Trincao has emerged as one of the best. He is the most outstanding player in the Portuguese League.
Barça took his services for 31 million euros and Nuno Gomes is sure that the club was right to sign him. "Trincao is very good and very young. Playing for Barça is going to be a big step for him. We'll see how things develop," the Benfica legend told AS.
He also compared him to Neymar: "You can never expect what he's going to do... It's similar to what happens with Neymar. The Brazilian is also unpredictable with the ball. Trincao looks a bit like him, they both play on the sidelines.
Nuno Gomes has no doubt that he will fit in at Barça. "I think he's ready. If you look at him from the beginning until now, he's improved a lot," he said.
Because no matter what opponent he has in front of him, Trincao always gives 100 per cent. "It doesn't affect him to play against Porto or Benfica, nor against worse teams. Trincao plays for fun," he concluded.
