It seems incredible but PSG's much vaunted attacking triumvirate of Edinson Cavani, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe has not been the most effective in Europe so far this season, nor the most effective in France for that matter...

Spanish publication 'Marca' reports that Lyon trio Nabil Fekir, Mariano Diaz and Memphis Depay hold that particular honour, having out-scored their PSG counterparts in the league so far this season.

The Lyon stars have scored 26 goals between them in Ligue 1 so far this campaign, two more than the PSG trio have managed (24).

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling take third place in the rankings with 22 goals, with Juventus' Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Juan Cuadrado rounding off the top four with 21.

Whilst all three of Lyon's attacking players are in fine form, Fekir is recieving the most plaudits, having scored 11 goals in 11 games so far in Ligue 1, leading to reports that Barcelona could make a move for the player in January.

Mariano meanwhile has shown that there is life after Real Madrid, scoring nine in 12 in the league since quitting the Bernabeu in the summer..

Such has been the form of his team-mates that Debpay's return of six goals in 11 league games pales in comparison, despite still being a very impressive return.

Lyon have scored 32 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season, with 81.25% of those coming via Europe's hottest new attacking trio.
