FIFA today announced the three candidates for the best men's coach of 2017 award, though the three bosses nominated are unlikely to come as a surprise to anyone.

After announcing the candidates for the best positional awards, fooball's governing body then turned their sights to the best coaches of the year.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and Chelsea chief Antonio Conte are the three men that will go head-to-head for the award, with the winner set to be announced next month.

The trio were the logical choices, with Zidane once again claiming the Champions League title along with La Liga and both the domestic and European Super Cups. Such is his importance to 'Los Blancos' that Florentino Perez has already tied the Frenchman down for the forseeable future in the Spanish capital.

Antonio Conte meanwhile, bounced back from an uncertain start to storm to the Premier League title in his first season in charge of Chelsea before being defeated in the final of the FA Cup by rivals Arsenal. Whilst fellow countryman Allegri masterminded Juve's march to the Champions League final last season and although they were defeated by Real, 'La Vecchia Signora' still managed success on the domestic front with Scudetto and Coppa Italia triumphs.
