Manchester United are celebrating. This is because it is Old Trafford's birthday, the club's stadium and temple of worship for millions of fans around the world.

The Theatre of Dreams will celebrate its 112th anniversary this Saturday 19th February. The Red Devils however, will not be able to sing 'Happy Birthday' to their home, as they are taking a trip to Leeds United on matchday 26 of the Premier League season.

United will have to wait until 26th February to pay homage to Old Trafford, as this is the date when the team will return to their home to face Watford in matchweek 27 of the season.

Old Trafford openned its doors on 19th February 1910. Since then, it has had a number of face lifts and has seen many glorious nights as one of the best football stadiums in the world. With a capacity of 76,000, it is one of the most iconic monuments in Manchester.

United's temple was bombed on two occasions during WWII, but after various remodelling projects, Old Trafford was raised from its ashes to return to all its glory.
