The PSG midfielder was dismissed after just 16 minutes of the game against Angers after stamping on the chest of Romain Thomas.
Thiago Motta lost his rag as the game between PSG and Angers entered the 16th minute. The experienced Brazilian stamped on the chest of opposite number Romain Thomas in a challenge that could lead to a lengthy ban for the veteran.
Just five minutes after PSG took the lead, Motta left a foot in on Thomas, leaving the Angers man bleeding from close to his ribs.
The referee didn't hesitate in producing a red card and Motta did not protest. Thankfully, Thomas was able to continue the game.
