Nacho gave a frank and honest interview to 'Movistar Partidazo' following Real Madrid's 4-1 victory away to Real Valladolid.

When facing the Spanish TV cameras, the centre-back explained: "This club must be winning things, and day-to-day life is tough at the moment."

"The relationship with the manager is complicated because things are going well, but he is our manager and we have to be with him," he continued. "We are not accustomed with not having to have any trophy to fight for at this stage of the season. There are no excuses."

He went on to address the match itself, and was quick to stress how tough playing Valladolid can be.

"We are going through a difficult week, but we had to win and we knew Valladolid would also come out strongly. I don't think this victory makes up for the past week. This club requires you to win and we want to do our best for the badge everyday. It's difficult. We like to head into the summer holidays with a title of some sort."

Real Madrid's win over Valladolid leaves them third in La Liga, five points behind rivals Atletico Madrid and 12 behind Barcelona
