The Valladolid striker, Sergi Guardiola, was upset with the defeat against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano and he considered that his team saw a referee's decision go against them. The referee did not give the visitors a penalty for a handball after a VAR review.

"The referee went against us especially in the penalty incident. It is always given as a penalty in that situation," said the Valladolid player on 'BeIN La Liga'.

"We have to keep fighting and I hope that we win our next home game against Athletic Bilbao," Guardiola pointed out. He was disappointed that the Atletico goal was actually scored by a Valladolid man

"We have had a good game. It is not a question of thinking about Joaquin's error with the own goal. We have to think about the games remaining," he insisted.

Guardiola insisted that Valladolid were "quite good, we had chances and the goal came how it came. We will keep fighting to the end and I think we will get the job done."

The Valladolid man has his mind on next Sunday's game with Athletic Bilbao. "We have to think that it is a final in front of our own fans. I am looking forward to it to try and get the three points. We have to win everything we can to try and get our objective," he concluded.
