Manchester United are moulding to Paul Pogba, who is liberated in his new role with space and time on the ball to create and roam. The stats don't lie, he is only getting better.

Manchester United came out 3-0 winners at Old Trafford with Paul Pogba running the show against Stoke. His name somehow did not make the scoresheet, but he was once again the provider for his team-mates to find the back of the net.

After taking his tally up to nine assists for the season, he is the Premier League's assist king. But that is not the only stat in his favour: passes, tackles, chances created and even games unbeaten. Nine wins, four draws and no defeats, he is 35 matches without defeat.

The same cannot be said about his team, who have suffered a number of setbacks to keep them 12 points behind rivals City. United certainly notice Pogba's absence and even Jose Mourinho admitted the Frenchman alone dictates the play of his team.

While Mourinho's system may change often, depending on the fixture in question, if Paul Pogba is injury-free then he will be at the heart of things, pulling the strings from a privileged position. In only 13 Premier League games, the 24-year-old has managed to turn almost every stat in his favour and his improvement and confidence becomes more evident with every outing.

Manchester City have taken the spotlight this season with their solid teamwork but just down the road is Pogba doing his own and building the team around himself. His rise is meteoric and we are yet to see where it will stop.
