Mohamed Salah scored the opener against Chelsea at Anfield and then failed to celebrate, leading many to believe it was out of respect for his former club. But nothing could be further from the truth: he was paying tribute to the victims of the terror attacks in Egypt.

The attack was reportedly carried out by ISIS and 305 people were killed. Salah is was simply paying his respects to the victims of said attack.

The Egyptian forward, having left Chelsea after struggling to break into the starting lineup, did not do it out of respect for the Blues. It was all a tribute to his people back in Egypt.
