The prosecution asks for 10 months in prison and a fine for Benzema
The prosecution in the 'Valbuena case' made a petition to the Versalles Jury of a sentence of ten months in prison for the Real Madrid star, as well as a fine of 75,000 euros.
The prosecution at Versailles asked the jury for a sentence of 10 months in prison for France's forward for participating in a blackmail attempt with a sex tape on his former teammate Mathie Valbuena.
Benzema was the only one out of the five accused that didn't attend the proceeding, as he played a Champions League game on Tuesday.
Benzema was accused based on the existence of a phone-tapped conversation in which the striker told a friend acting as a middlemen for the suspected blackmailers that "he's not taking us seriously".
