With Barcelona set to revive their interest in Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho in January, reports in Spain claim that the 'Reds' have already slapped a price-tag on the Brazilian's head.

Renowned Spanish publication 'AS' reports that the Merseysiders are demanding €160m for their star man, with the club keen to discover early on if Barca want to do a deal in January, in order to avoid yet another saga that lasts the entire transfer window.

It is thought that a significant portion of the Barcelona hierarchy is preparted to meet those demands for the player, though naturally there are other club big wigs who would prefer to pursue what they perceive to be better value for money options such as Mesut Ozil or players that can be developed over time, such as Gremio's Arthur Melo.

However, certain elements of the Barca fanbase are thought to be concerned at the prospect of paying another nine-figure fee just months after bringing Ousman Dembele to the club and are not entirelty convinced by the Samba star, despite a fine season so far that has seen him score nine goals and lay on seven assists in 16 games in all competitions.

Finally, there are suggestions that any Barca move could be scuppered by rival interest from French giants PSG, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi appearing to be keen to continue his new favourite pastime of frustrating Barca in transfer market.

Will Coutinho finally get his dream move in January? Or will Barca be denied once again?
