The out of form derby

Antoine Griezmann and Cristiano Ronaldo both enter this weekend's Madrid derby with a goalscoring record far below their high standards.

Griezmann and Ronaldo are normally their respective club's top scorers, but there has been a turn in the tide since the start of this campaign.

The Atletico man's poor form is more noticeable. Last term he scored 26 goals for the 'Rojiblanca', with eight at this at this stage a year ago, including three braces.

After 13 games this campaign, Griezmann has netted just three times (two in La Liga and one in the Champions League), much to the surprise of many.

However, he is not the only one misfiring in front of goal. Ronaldo, at least in the league, is not a shadow of the player he was earlier this year.

At first glance, the Portugal international's tally of eight goals in 13 games does not look so bad, but when you take into account the fact he has only scored once in the league, you can say the four-time Ballon d'Or winner is in somewhat of a goalscoring crisis.

Therefore, Ronaldo and Griezmann enter the highly-anticipated Madrid derby with one and two league goals to their names respectively.

Real have scored 22 this season but and let in nine this campaign, while Atletico have netted 16 and conceded 16, meaning it will truly be anyone's game at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday.
