The moment Ronaldo's magic captivated Zidane
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane still remembers the moment he was stunned by the Brazilian's skills. It was in 1998, when Zidane became a wholehearted admirer of Ronaldo Nazario.
Since then, Zidane has followed the former Real Madrid striker unconditionally. A video from 2002 surfaced recently, in which a young Zidane discusses the Brazilian's talents, with Ronaldo sitting next to him.
When asked about his favourite piece of skill displayed by Ronaldo, the Frenchman did not hesitate: 'What I cannot forget is Ronaldo in the UEFA Cup final against Lazio'.
'Few players can do it, they are usually Brazilian... But Ronaldo does it so quickly like in that match. It characterises his whole game. For me, he is a beast', the current Madrid manager concluded, to make his admiration for the Brazilian perfectly clear.
