There is uproar in Scotland because, in an interview with Alfredo Morelos on 'Sky Sports', a written translation said that there was racist chanting from the Celtic fans. This is false: the footballer never said that.

Morelos was on everyone's lips not long ago because of controversial comments he made in an interview on 'Sky Sports' in which he accused Celtic fans of racially abusing him. The problem was that he never said that: what appeared in the subtitles was a mistranslation of what he said.

Shortly after the controversy went vital, Celtic published an official statement in which they urge the media outlet to carry out an investigation to check why such a bad translation had been made. 'Daily Record' reports that 'Sky Sports' did not write the translation.

But then who translated these words? The source previously mentioned states that 'Sky Sports' replied to their questions that they are carrying out an investigation to see what could have happened. There have been no results up to now.

What has been done is that the interview has been pulled from the channel's website and social media outlets. Only time will repair the damage that has been caused by the controversy which has reached such a point that Gerrard had to come out to defend his player
