Al Jazira's goalkeeper Ali Khaseif made a string of fine saves to keep Real Madrid at bay for 50 minutes before being forced off with an injury.

After just six minutes he reacted quickly to palm a deflected Ronaldo header onto the bar and moments later he dived to his right to tip a fizzing Modric effort from outside the box onto the post.

With the help of VAR, Real had a goal ruled out on the half-hour mark, but that certainly took nothing away from Ali Khaseif's heroics between the sticks for the local side.

Thanks to him, the scoreline was kept at 0-0 until the 41st minute, when Romarinho incredibly put Al Jazira ahead.

To the crowd's dismay, the 30-year-old stopper was forced off after 50 minutes due to a thigh problem, and two minutes later... Real Madrid equalised.

However, Ali Khaseif can hold his head up high. Not many can say they didn't concede a single goal against the European champions.
