The four players PSG will sacrifice in the name of FFP

Former Athletic Bilbao coach Luis Fernandez, who is now a youth team coach at PSG, is unconvinced about the feasibility of a move for Kylian Mbappe and believes that the French side will have to sell players to avoid potential sanctions for breaking FFP.

In an interview with 'El Larguero', Fernandez said: "PSG need to sell three or four players to meet Financial Fair Player requirements."

The coach was not shy of naming names either, highlighting Blaise Matuidi, Serge Aurier, Hatem Ben Arfa and Grzegorz Krychowiak as the players who could be on their way out of the French capital following Neymar's arrival.

There are plenty of sides interested in the players and PSG are hoping to claw back a significant amount of the €222m they spent on the Brazilian international.

The one problem is that every club in the world is also well aware of PSG's need to sell and are therefore trying to tempt the French giants with a series of derisory offers rather than paying the going rate for the players in question.

Though the former Bilbao boss insists that the sales will not affect PSG's move for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

"The departure of those players won't affect the potential arrival of Mbappe. But any deal for Mbappe is complicated and my gut tells me that he will stay with Monaco," explained Fernandez.

Finally, the coach said that Neymar has settled in well to life in the French capital. "Neymar is happy and is looking forward to enjoying it here, people are delighted he's here," he concluded.

It appears that the first of the four could be set to move on with Matuidi close to joining Juventus, but will PSG recoup the money they need from the sale of just four players?
