The fight for Europe's Golden Shoe

Mbappé continues to stand firm in the fight for the Golden Shoe. With eleven goals scored, he now has 22 points in the standings, which are still led by Liliu, who plays for Nomme Kalju in the Estonian League, with 30 goals and 30 points.

If we focus on the big leagues, Nantes' Emiliano Sala, who scored a brace against Guingamp, is the only player capable of following Mbappé's rhythm with ten goals in total and 20 points. 

After practically unknown names such as Paulinho Guerreiro, Patrick Hoban and Zakaria Beglarishvili, sit Neymar, Luis Suarez and Co.

The PSG forward has already scored nine goals, which translates into 18 points. Barcelona's Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, has the same numbers, and both sit in twelfth position.

Further down, in 26th place, are Stuani and Aspas of Girona and Celta respectively, who are tied on eight goals and 16 points.

It should be remembered that for the Golden Shoe only the goals scored in the league count, and not those scored in the Champions League or Cup tournaments.

To calculate the points, 'European Sports Media' gives a multiplier to each competition based on its position in the UEFA ranking. Thus, the five major leagues (Spain, France, Germany, England and Italy) double the goals, and the less important leagues, such as Portugal, the Netherlands or Turkey, to give three examples, multiply by 1.5. The minor leagues do not have a multiplication factor.

In the event of a tie on points, the first criterion for a tiebreaker will be the lowest number of minutes played in their respective league championships.
