Enrique Cerezo, president of Atletico Madrid, has admitted there is a possibility that Yannick Carrasco could leave the club in the coming hours, opening the door for him to move away from Wanda Metropolitano to China.

"Of course he has an open door, if the offer is good for him and for the club. We would have no troubles letting him leave," Cerizo stated vehemently.

In this sense, Cerizo wanted to clarify what he said about a player who is not in the squad for the match against Copenhagen on Thursday night: "I don't know where the negotiations stand, when a decision is made, he will say."

However, the president was in no doubt about the relationship between Diego Simeone and Fernando Torres: "Both of them will receive big applauses, they are a player and a manager who are loved by our fans."

In addition, Cerizo played down this particular issue which came up in the press conference before the Europa League tie: "It's a management thing and the coaches will decide. I repeat that I have heard nothing from Fernando nor from the coaches, they have already told me everything there is."

Simeone confirmed that he would not be going to great lengths to keep Torres at the club in the same way he has with Antoine Griezmann.
