Rene Higuita was one of the most spectacular keepers in the history of football. His legendary scorpion kicks were fascinating for everyone to see. It is for this reason that many since have tried to emulate him...

Has anyone ever not seen the Columbian keeper in action? Football lovers have engraved into their minds Higuita preparing to execute his legendary scorpion kick.

Another who also launched himself onto the floor and didn't hesitate to practice was Pinto, the former Barcelona keeper.

Even more spectacular was the scorpion which Itumeleng Khune gifted us with during a game.

Nobuhiro Kato didn't want to be outdone and dazzled us with this one.

Hamza Boudlal from Morocco also got into the character of Higuita for this scorpion.

And lastly, Rorys Aragon. In this case, it seems as though it was the scorpion that found the goalkeeper as opposed to the other way round.

The comparisons are tedious, that is true. There is nobody else like Higuita... but some keep his memory alove by trying to copy him.
