The 5 candidates to be AC Milan's star striker
The Italian giants have taken the transfer window by storm, and to finish off they want a marquee signing to lead the team from the front.
Many sources have pointed out Zlatan Ibrahimovic's possible return to San Siro. The veteran striker still has to recover from the knee injury he suffered last April, though he has many offers on the table. The Swede would meet the high hopes and expectations set by 'rossoneri' fans.
Edinson Cavani is another option. PSG will have to sell some of their stars if they sign Neymar, who would eclipse all other strikers at the French club. Both the player and Emery would agree to his departure to Italy.
Diego Costa is one of the most likely options. The Spain international could join Milan until January, when he would make a return to former club Atletico Madrid once their transfer embargo is lifted.
The dream is Aubameyang, but it seems unlikely. Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to let the Gabon international go without a fight, and the player himself wants to play in the Champions League.
Kalinic is another option, possibly the more realistic of the lot. The centre-forward is a proven goalscorer in one of the trickiest competitions in Europe. AC Milan have long since expressed interest in signing the 29-year-old Fiorentina man.
