The star started his career with Barca's 'B' team, making his debut on March 6 2006 against Mataró in a game which the Catalans won by a goal to nil. Since then, according to Spanish publication 'Sport', three teams in La Liga, six in the Champions League, one in the Copa del Rey, one in the Club World Cup and 12 in the Spanish Segunda B have prevented Messi from getting on the scoresheet.
Barca are set to face Chelsea in the Champions League last 16 in the New Year, giving Messi another chance to sparkle against the side that has shut him out on the most occasions.
La Liga: Real Murcia, Xerex (2 GP) and Cádiz (1).
Champions League: Chelsea (8GP), Rubin Kazan (4), Inter Milan (3), Liverpool, Benfica (2) and Udinese (1).
Copa del Rey: Gramanet (1GP, though Messi has also faced them in the Seguna B).
Club World Cup: Al Sadd Qatar (1GP).
