The finalists for the 2025 Yashin Trophy have been announced, an award that celebrates the best goalkeeper of the season each year. Among the contenders is Gianluigi Donnarumma, a previous winner in 2021 and once again among the top favorites.

France Football continues its gradual reveal of the nominees for the various individual awards of the past season. Among them is the Yashin Trophy, which recognizes the best goalkeeper of the year.

Ten finalists are in contention to succeed Emiliano 'Dibu' Martinez, the winner of the 2024 edition. The name of the winner will be announced on September 22nd, during the ceremony organized at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.

Among the top favorites according to bookmakers is Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was crowned in 2021 after winning the Euro with Italy. The Italian international had an exceptional season with Paris Saint-Germain. A domestic treble and the club's first-ever Champions League title confirmed his status among the world elite in his position.

Another notable name on the list is Yann Sommer, who represents Serie A single-handedly. Despite a trophy-less season with Inter, the Swiss goalkeeper was one of the key players for a team that reached the Champions League semi-finals for the second time in three years.
