Tevez rejects West Ham

West Ham's attempt to sign their former striker Carlos Tevez was knocked back, as the former Juventus star wanted £250,000 a week to play for the Hammers.
Much to West Ham fans' disappointment, Carlos Tevez will probably not be returning to East London.
According to West Ham chairman David Sullivan, the Argentine is demanding £250,000 a week to move back to the Hammers which was a step to far for West Ham.
Tevez joined West Ham a decade ago and played at Upton Park for one season, playing 29 games and scoring seven goals. The 32-year-old scored the all-important goal in a victory over Manchester United that meant West Ham survived relegation at Sheffield United's expense.
The striker became a fan's favourite and Tevez is understood to have a good affinity with everyone at West Ham.
However, this affinity has been questioned by Hammers chairman David Sullivan.
"We tried to get Tevez but he wanted £250,000 a week. In his last year at Juventus, he was great. But 250 grand a week?" Sullivan told the Daily Mirror.
"All this business 'I love West Ham.' Well, it's 'I love West Ham if they give me 250 grand a week.' So how much love is that for West Ham?"
"I actually offered him 150 grand a week to come back, plus bonuses."
Therefore, it looks like only a ridiculous offer would tempt the 32-year-old back to West Ham. Is he worth £250,000 a week?
