John Terry and Jose Mourinho know eachother very well having won three Premier League titles and an FA Cup whilst one was the club captain and the other was the head coach at Chelsea, and Terry believes he knows the reason why his former boss isn't getting it quite right at Manchester United.

During the former Chelsea captain's time at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho brought in a number of players who suited his style when he first arrived in West London in 2004, such as Michael Essien and Didier Drogba.

The Portuguese coach enjoyed immediate success with the Blues, as they raced to the Premier League title with a record 95 points.

Despite splashing out on the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku since arriving at United, Terry is not convinced that those players fit Mourinho's style, but he believes he will get it right eventually.

“Individually he will be looking at three or four more players in certain areas,” the Aston Villa centre-back told 'talkSPORT'.

"He needs his real team of what identifies him as a manager, I don't think he has really got that at the moment.

"We see different players coming in at different times at the moment but given time, he will get it right."
