Suso scored the only goal of the game between AC Milan and SPAL in the second half with a great goal from a free-kick. The Spaniard had been on the pitch for just six minutes.

Suso being on the bench led to criticism from several AC Milan fans on social media. How the match panned out ended up proving them right after Stefano Pioli brought him on.

Samu Castillejo was the man sacrificed in the second half to bring on Suso. This was in the 57th minute and the player did not take long to justify the substitute.

AC Milan were struggling to break down SPAL, but a free-kick on the edge of the box gave the home side the opportunity to try and score from the set piece.

Suso took on the responsibility and did not disappoint. His free-kick with his left foot beat Berisha and the deadlock was broken at San Siro in the 63rd minute.
