Daniel Sturridge is back to square one. After a season to forget at Perth Glory in which he played only 139 minutes, the English striker is once again without a team this summer.

Bad news for Daniel Sturridge. Just a year after landing in the Australian League, the former Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City player is going to be without a team again.

Perth Glory, the club he joined last summer, has no intention of renewing his contract and his contract expires this summer, so the 32-year-old striker will have to look for a new destination.

The reason? The English striker has only played 139 minutes in six official matches all season. In fact, he has only started one league game, after a season plagued by injuries.

To make matters worse, Perth Glory finished bottom of the 12-team Australian League with 18 points, eight points behind second-bottom Brisbane Roar, who have 26 points. Sturridge's side have won just four of 26 official matches and suffered 16 defeats.
