After various months free after terminating his contract with Trabzonspor, the ex-England international is close to the MLS.

Daniel Sturridge continues to look for a way to reactivate his career. At 30 and after leaving Liverpool, the English striker tried in Turkish football, but he didn't fit in.

He only played half a season at Trabzonspor before terminating his contract and hasn't played for practically a year- his last match was 22nd February 2020.

He had options in European football in the summer, but not so much in January and, for that reason, is one of the reputed footballers who is still without a team.

 

According to the 'Daily Mail', the English attacker is close to completing his arrival to the MLS and it seems that various franchises are fighting for his signing.

At Liverpool, the striker managed to play 160 matches, in which he scored 68 goals and got 20 assists.
