Stoke to sign promising defender
Stoke City are closing in on 19-year-old defender Ryan Sweeney from AFC Wimbledon.
Stoke have agreed a fee of £250,000 for the youngster, which may rise to £1m, depending on achievements.
Sweeney is set to complete a medical at the Bet365 Stadium today.
The AFC Wimbledon player made 13 appearances for the Dons last season, helping them to win promotion from League Two.
