Srna 'listens to his heart' and says no to Barcelona

Darijo Srna was widely reported to have an offer by Barcelona to join the Spanish giants in the January transfer window, but he has taken the rather unprecedented decision to pass on the chance to play alongside the likes of Leo Messi, Neymar and Suarez in order to remain at his current club, the Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk.

"I am happy with my decision,I have listened to my heart and I ma staying at Shakhtar," the Croatian international said in an interview with Football TV channel in Ukraine.

"I am not going to make any comment about [Barcelona's interest] because it would not be professional to do so," the full back replied when asked what kind of offer he had turned down from Spain.
