With new contracts in the pipeline for key players Harry Kane and Dele Alli, Tottenham are also keen to tie Christian Eriksen down to a new-and-improved deal according to the 'Daily Mail'.

Reports in the English newspaper claim that the London club are set to open talks with the Danish international in an attempt to end interest from Italian champions Juventus.

Eriksen has two years left on his £70,000-a-week contract, but with the board hoping to secure six figure deals for Kane and Alli, the same offer would be made to keep the 25-year-old in North London.

The midfielder has been pivotal for Spurs this season, with manager Mauricio Pochettino using him in all 23 Premier League games so far. The playmaker has repaid that faith, scoring six goals and also assisting six more.

Tottenham are currently fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind Chelsea and the Champions League places.
