Tottenham have received a major lift ahead of their Champions League clash with Real Madrid, with injured duo Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele both having been deemed fit enough to with the squad.

The pair have been on the sidelines for a significant period but 'Sky Sports' reports that they could be feature in the top-of-the-table clash in Group H.

Rose has been out since January with a knee injury, but with fellow left-back Ben Davies having missed the win over Bournemouth at the weekend through illness and being yet to fully recover, his return could not have come at a better time.

Jan Vertonghen was stationed at left-back at the weekend and fellow defender Toby Alderweireld has backed the Belgian to do a job there once again if needs be.

"I think Jan showed that, if the manager wants him there, he can play there. So it's no problem I think," said the former Southampton defender..

Dembele has been missing since the victory over Barnsley in the EFL Cup, with Harry Winks managing to break into the team and make his England debut in the absence of the Belgian midfielder.

French winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou will not feature on Tuesday, having been concussed late on against Bournemouth, whilst Victor Wanyama is still sidelined with a knee complaint.

Rose and Dembele will both try to show manager Mauricio Pochettino that they are ready to start tomorrow night during Monday's evening training session at the Bernabeu.
