Tottenham have revealed that they have selected the United States as their pre-season tour destination ahead of the 2018-2019 campaign.

The tour will mark the third consecutive year that 'Spurs' have chosen to tour the United States and to participate in the International Champions Cup, ahead of new season preparations.

Tottenham announced the news on their official club website, in a statement that read: ''This summer's tour will be the sixth time in nine years that we have toured the US and we are all excited to be returning again later this year.''

It continued: ''Our following in North America has grown considerably during this time with the number of Official Supporters Clubs alone more than quadrupling.''

'Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy expressed gratitude for the US support, he wrote: ''We are fully aware of the sacrifices they make to watch us play at any hour of the day. We look forward to showing them our appreciation when we visit this summer.''

Last year, European and British elite clubs including; Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United toured in America, whilst Bayern Munich and Arsenal opted for China.

The pre-season tour this summer will see Tottenham return to move into their newly redesigned 62,000-seater stadium in North London.
