We take a look ahead to Sunday's Premier League game between Southampton and Tottenham at St Mary's.

Southampton: Defender Maya Yoshida is struggling with a hamstring strain, though there is a slim chance of him playing some part. Striker Charlie Austing will definitely miss out with his own hamstring problem.

Tottenham: Goalkeeper Huge Lloris is a doubt through illness and whilst Toby Alderweireld is making good progress, this one will come too soon for him. Harry Winks (ankle) and Danny Rose (knee) remain sidelined.

The thoughts of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino:

"We are not happy with our position but in three or four weeks' time everything can change. It's part of our competition.

"I feel in our team the spirit is really good and everybody is conscious about what we need. I receive these messages from players every day, and we have to convert these feelings into stats."

The thoughts of Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino on January transfers:

"To be honest it will be difficult. At some point you always dream but not too much exciting [is happening].

"If it happens, it happens. If not, then it doesn't happen. We are happy with the squad."
