Southampton have already tried and failed to sign Che Adams in the past, but 'The Sun' are reporting that the Premier League side are preparing another offer for the Birmingham City forward, with Burnley also reportedly interested.

Adams, 22, has enjoyed a standout season at Birmingham City, scoring 22 goals and providing 4 assists in 48 appearances for his side. His market value has skyrocketed thanks to his impressive performances, meaning any interested suitors would have to make a tempting offer for a player whose contract runs until 2023.

His excellent displays were not representative of his club's overall performance, however, as Birmingham finished 17th in the table after a disappointing late season collapse preceded by a points penalty.

'The Saints' are willing to offer the young forward an opportunity in the Premier League, and will be hoping that he can help them improve on a poor season that saw them finish 16th in the league. According to the English press, Southampton will offer around 16,8 million Euros for the Englishman.

Burnley, who finished one place above Southampton, are also interested in signing Adams, who was Birmingham's top scorer last season.
