Dominic Solanke fires Tottenham, fresh from their Europa League triumph, into the lead against Brighton from the penalty spot. Tel was fouled by Wieffer, handing Spurs the chance from twelve yards.

The closing fixtures of the 2024/25 Premier League season are being played with high stakes and hopes for many clubs. Liverpool have already secured the title, but the battle for Champions League places remains fierce from second to eighth position.

At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs took the lead in the 17th minute when Dominic Solanke converted a penalty. The spot-kick was awarded after Tel was brought down in the box by Wieffer, giving Solanke the opportunity to score from twelve yards.

Solanke, fresh from Tottenham’s recent Europa League triumph, showed composure to send the goalkeeper the wrong way and put his side ahead.
