The Frenchman believes he has to be playing in a better league otherwise his place in the national side will be in jeopardy.
Moussa Sissoko has revealed that he wants to leave Newcastle United, and that he would welcome a move to Arsenal.
The 26-year-old was part of the disappointing squad who failed to secure a top flight status this past season, and now faces the prospect of playing in England's seond tier.
However, the player believes he will have to be playing in a better league if he wants to keep his place in the French national side, and has identified the Gunners as a preferred destination.
"It's [Arsenal] a very big club in Europe. I think few people would refuse to play there, " he told Foot Mercato
"Everyone knows, I have often said when I was young, my heart was Arsenal club, because there were a lot of French players that have been there as Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Patrick Vieira who was my idol.
"The beautiful Arsenal. We'll see. I can not tell you that I will go to Arsenal. For now, I'm focused on the team of France and the Euros. I have advisers who manage all this and I hope everything will go well with minimal difficulty for me to find another club."
