Bad news for Sevilla. The Andalucian outfit confirmed the injury to Thomas Vaclik who has sprained the MCL in his left knee.

The Czech keeper for Sevilla, Thomas Vaclik, has sprained the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee, tests done this Tuesday confirmed. He got injured in the match against Eibar at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan on Monday night.

Vaclik got injured in the last minute of the match against Eibar and he was replaced in goal by outfield player Lucas Ocampos, Ocampos ended up being the hero for Sevilla against Eibar as he scored the only goal of the game and he made a tremendous save as replacement goalkeeper to prevent Eibar goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic from equalising at the death.

Vaclik will almost certainly miss the rest of the La Liga campaign despite Sevilla saying that a return date will be set depending on his recovery from his injury. He will be aiming to be back for the Europa League last 16 tie with Roma in August.
