Valencia will start next weekend, with the visit to Espanyol, an intense month of October in which they will complete the next six league games and in which the visit to Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan and the visit of Barcelona to Mestalla will be the main challenges.

The international break has given the clubs a rest, but, after it, comes a busy October. In the case of Valencia, and in just 28 days, they will play as many games as they have played so far, with the aim of improving the current balance between three wins and three defeats, without draws, which have resulted in half of the points played.

Over the next six matchdays, Gennaro Gattuso's side will visit Espanyol, Osasuna and Sevilla and play home games against Elche, Mallorca and Barcelona.

On Sunday at 14:00, they will visit Espanyol in Cornella with the aim of getting their first away points after losing on their away games, and to do so they must take advantage of the fact that the Catalan side are stuck in the lower part of the table.

Just five days later, on Friday evening, the 7th, they will travel to Pamplona where Osasuna had performed perfectly until last week's 2-0 defeat against Getafe.

For the following weekend, the team is scheduled to return to Mestalla, where they will play Elche, currently bottom of the competition, after which they will open a midweek fixture, formally set for Wednesday 19th with the visit of Sevilla.

Valencia will complete the month of October with two home games, first against Mallorca and a week later against Barcelona, which will take them well past the halfway point of the first round of La Liga.

After these matches, the Mestalla outfit have just two games left before the World Cup break, when they visit Real Sociedad and host Betis on 9th November.
