The Lega Calcio Assembly announced that the Serie A could return on 13th June, after the words of Italy's Minister of Sport, Vincenzo Spadafora, confirming that from 18th May it will be possible for clubs to train at their facilities.
There's now a possible date for the return of football in Italy. La Lega Calcio proposed 13th June as a possible date for the resumption of the competition.
A proposal that emerged shortly after Vincenzo Spadafora, Italy's Minister of Sport, confirmed that as of 18th May it would be possible for clubs to train at their facilities.
The proposal is now in the hands of the Italian government, who will be the ones to finally decide whether to accept this date which is already marked in the calendar or not, to resume one of the bbigest championships in the world and which has 12 matchdays left.
"With regard to the resumption of sporting activity, it has been indicated, with respect for the decisions of the Government and in accordance with the medical protocols that protect the players, the date of 13th June for the resumption of the championship," reads the official note provided by the Serie A.
