Gabriele Gravina, the Italian FA president, said that he would not rule out suspending Serie A if one of the players got coronavirus.

There is great concern across Italy and the president of the Italian FA, Gabriele Graving, announced that the league could be stopped if a player got coronavirus.

I would not rule out the championship being suspended. We cannot rule out anything or speculate on something we cannot predict. We will take all the measures to guarantee the protection of our footballers," he told 'Rai Sport' this Saturday.

And that is not the only measure. Italy's international fixtures versus Germany and England prior to Euro 2020 are also in doubt. Gravina also talked about them.

"It seems like the city of Nuremberg will ask for the game to be postponed and for the England game, I hope it is at least behind closed doors," he said.

They would be the most extreme measures after those which have been taken in recent weeks and caused major disruption to the Italian football calendar.

There have even scenes such as that of ground staff disinfecting the seats at the San Paolo stadium in Naples.
