Sergio Reguilon's time at Manchester United has come to an end sooner than expected. The Spanish full-back will return to Tottenham Hotspur after the Red Devils activated a clause allowing the player's loan deal to be terminated, according to 'The Athletic'.

Sergio Reguilon is packing his bags and leaving Old Trafford after spending the first part of the season at Manchester United after joining on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in August.

The Spanish full-back came to Ten Hag's side to fill the gaps left by injuries in defence, but with Luke Shaw and Malacia expected to return to action this month, both player and club have come to an agreement to terminate his loan deal.

The player himself has been keen to leave Manchester United in January as he intends to get playing time, something he was hardly going to get with the Red Devils full-backs' return from injury.

Reguilon leaves Manchester United having made 12 official appearances under Ten Hag, seven of them as a starter, failing to score or assist.
