The midfielder believes that Celtic will head into the Scottish Cup semi-final with a psychological advantage against Rangers on Sunday.

The Parkhead captain believes that the club's 3-2 victory over Rangers, which saw Celtic's Jozo Simunovic sent off with half an hour remaining, will be weighing heavily on the Rangers side's minds.

He said: ''Will it be in the heads of the Rangers players that we beat them with ten men? It probably will be, yes.'' Celtic need one more Premiership win to claim their seventh consecutive title.

He added: ''It must have been hard [for Rangers]. For us, on the other hand, it's pushed us on a bit. It was always going to be hard going down to ten men at Ibrox, especially after 60 minutes.''

''But we had a game plan and we stuck to it,'' he added: ''And, luckily enough, big Odsonne Edouard turned up with an absolute worldie of a goal to win it.''

Ahead of the clash Brown said that Celtic were feeling confident, he said: ''We've had great games at Hampden recently and we've played really well. We are going into the match on good form.''

Celtic have remained unbeaten in nine Old Firm derbies, and have not lost to Rangers since the Scottish Cup semi-final two years ago in a 2-2 draw that went to penalties.
