Schalke to not pursue Loftus-Cheek and Rose signings
Schalke have ended their interest in signing either Danny Rose or Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, despite several reports that the pair could join the German outfit.
Both players have been thought to be on their way to Schalke on loan deals, but 'Sky Sports' report that this is not the case.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is facing a difficult task to try and get in to the Chelsea first team this season after the additions of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic this summer. After an impressive World Cup with England, the midfielder wants guarantees more first team football this season.
Meanwhile left-back Danny Rose has wanted to get a move away from Tottenham after he fell behind in the pecking order at the club behind Ben Davies last season and has failed to regain his place.
Despite the German club being interested in a left full-back, it is believed that they want to permanently sign one have deemed Rose as too expensive for their limited budget.
Schalke have until 31st August to add players to their squad, when their transfer window shuts.
