Red Bull Salzburg have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Oscar Gloukh, an Israeli starlet who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is worth around seven million euros.

Barcelona have lost one of the pearls of Israeli football. The talented Oscar Gloukh, who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv, will be a new player for Red Bull Salzburg, as reported by 'One' and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

According to both sources, the Catalan giants would have tried the operation as the player is considered to be a differential player, but in the end the player decided to go to the Austrian club, as he sees it as a better fit for his current career.

This is because the Israeli was not going to play in the first team and was going to be relegated to Barca Atletic. However, his option was always to make the step up to a professional European team with aspirations that would give him playing time.

The Camp Nou side are working to pick up future talents at a good price in order to nurture the first team. However, the 18-year-old midfielder has escaped the 'Cules'.
