Liverpool are adamant that they want Mo Salah to remain, even with Spanish giants Real Madrid looking to poach the striker.

'The Reds' have said that they will emphatically turn down any club looking to steal the Egyptian striker away. The announcement comes after Real's manager Zinedine Zidane has expressed his admiration for Salah.

The 25-year-old has had an incredible season with Liverpool, and has been recognised amongst football's elite. Salah has scored 36 goals in his debut season for Liverpool and has surpassed Leo Messi, Barcelona's star striker.

Salah signed a four-year contract with Liverpool last summer and reportedly has a £90,000 weekly salary. It is thought that Real Madrid are itching to swoop in and sign the player if they understood there was an opportunity, with a greater financial promise likely. Liverpool however, are desperate not to let Salah go, regardless of the figure.

Klopp is keen to keep Salah as he is critical to everything that 'The Reds' are attempting to achieve. The Liverpool manager has also said that for the summer transfer window, he will be unflinching in paying the sums needed to secure the players he wants.
