Wolfsburg and Switzerland full-back Ricardo Rodriguez has told his representatives that he only wants to join one club, and it's not one from the Premier League.
Chelsea and Arsenal target Ricardo Rodriguez has rejected a January switch to the Premier League, according to reports from Tuttosport.
The Italian publication claims the Wolfsburg left-back has instead told his representatives he would only like a move to Inter, despite a host of top European clubs expressing interest.
Having spent a considerable amount already this season, though, following their takeover by Chinese buyers Suning Holdings Group, the Serie A side may have to sell players before completing a move.
Chelsea and Arsenal had hoped to land the Switzerland international, who has a £19 million release clause written into his contract, though interest from French champions Paris Saint-Germain is said to be high.
