The Portuguese striker is better known for his clinical finishing, but has also excelled at setting up his teammates. In fact, no-one has done that better than him in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo is not only the Champions League's top goalscorer. He is also the tournament's assist king, exceeding the likes of Lionel Messi, Dani Alves or Mesut Ozil, renowned for their quality final pass.

The 32-year-old has racked up 27 assists over the last 10 seasons, while Messi has managed 24. Ozil has 23 and Alves, 22. Beneath him are legends such as Xavi Hernandez (21) or Iniesta (20), while his current teammate and strike partner Karim Benzema has also provided 20 assists.

Following a poor spell in La Liga, Ronaldo has found his form in the European competition and he proved so against APOEL. Two goals and an assist for Benzema to tap into an empty net.
