Ronaldinho, a legend with less than six euros in the bank
A report by Brazilian media outlet 'UOL' revealed that Ronaldinho is broke. At least, according to his bank account.
The same report references the fact that the Brazilian government had confiscated the passport of the former footballer, an icon of the game, star of the national team, Barça, Milan and PSG among other clubs.
The existence of a debt forced Brazilian prosecutors to intervene into the accounts of 'Dinho'. Ronaldinho is still a nike ambassador, having enjoyed various multi-million figure contracts, for example one that amassed 24.63 reais (Brazilian currency).
Yet, what is most surprising; his bank account contains less than six euros.
After a four year long legal battle with the Brazilian government for construction in protected lands, the authorities want to collect the owed fine of around two million euros. But according to 'UOL', this is where the surprise about Ronaldinho's finances came to light.
China, Japan, Africa... Ronaldinho has travelled all over the world in recent months at the request of Nike. The Brazilian passport published that at this current time, Ronaldinho's passport has been cancelled.
The genius is widely sought for his debts. It is thought that he also owes money to his brother Roberto de Assis Moreira, his agent (both past and current).
It also has to be highlighted that until recently Ronaldinho was linked to Barcelona in an ambassadorial role, although the club have distanced themselves in recent times after the former player generate great controversy by showing his support for extreme right-wing presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro.
