Alessio Romagnoli, the AC Milan central defender, is apparently on Atletico's agenda, that is what 'Mundo Deportivo'. Simeone likes the defender's game and would be apparently thinking of sealing his signing. He would be Savic's substitute who, according to the cited media outlet, could leave the Wanda.
'Mundo Deportivo' says that Italian media are reporting that Romagnoli is a serious candidate to strengthen the Atletico defence. The Atletico coach is keeping a close eye on him.
This signing, if it occurs, it would be with regards to the summer transfer market. Romagnoli will occupy Savic's place, who could leave the club, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'.
If Atletico go for Romagnoli, it will not be easy. Basically because he is important at AC Milan.
The Rossoneri want to keep Romagnoli. Boban, the sporting director, is apparently negotiating his renewal... and his contract does not expire until 2022.
It remains to be seen whether Atletico decide to go after Romagnoli's signings. At Milan, they will do everything possible to prevent him leaving.
