Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says that Wednesday's opponents PSG are one of the best sides in Europe, describing the French giants as "the best of the best".

The Scotting champions make the trip to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday as they look to bounce back from their 5-0 crushing at Celtic Park at the hands of the same opponents in their Champions League season opener.

The best Celtic can manage now is a place in the Europa League after only one win in their four games to date in Europe's premier club competition.

Despite that, Rodgers insists that his side is 'relaxed ahead of Wednesday's game.

"The players are relaxed but very focused, we understand that we're playing against a team that are arguably the best of the best," Rodgers said.

"For me this squad of players is going to be in with a hell of a chance of winning this competition.

"It's a huge challenge for every team they come across, not just ourselves. We've seen Bayern Munich come here and lose."

The Northern Irishman was full of praise for the squad PSG have put together, describing certain individuals as 'outstanding'.

"They've big game experience and quality in every single position, that includes the bench as well," he explained.

"You have some outstanding players right across their team here and when you have the goal threat that they have in this team, with Neymar, Cavani, Di Maria and Mbappe, you can go to any stadium in the world and know you can score goals and win games.

"They showed that against Bayern Munich, a team they would deem to be a rival in this competition."
